Roast It Real Good
Our friendly CEO/Founder, James has taught me that using exclamation points is like yelling at your audience/email recipient. It has been very difficult for me to limit or eradicate my use of this (fantastic) punctuation. Today, I am even more excited and so need to refrain myself. But I digress.
We’ve been talking about roasting a bit this month and have really enjoyed our exciting creations (perfect place for a !). There was James’ roast chicken, our delicious recipe for a snuggly pot roast, not to mention, 6 Ways to Roast and now we have something that will knock your socks off (exclamation point). We have some new products and a new supplier. Meet Spoonfed Foods, who simply put, are the “original and best”. Their Australian made products, listed with us here at cookandkitchen showcase six of some of the most delicious savoury jams we have come across. These jams are the perfect accompaniment for any roast and can be used as a baste or by spooning it over and on the side to serve.

Fruity Spicy Balance
HAM JAM goes with ham like nothing else and is equally delicious with turkey, chicken or pork or with a cheese plate, even on toast for breakfast. Have it on the side of bacon and eggs and as a fruity spicy balance to the richness of eggs done any way. Use it instead of butter on a Ham Baguette with a little rocket and thin slices of Brie, Goat’s Cheese or Cheddar or on a simple ham and salad roll or sandwich. Beautiful for basting the Christmas Ham and put a jar on the table so family and friends can add extra on the side.
Lamb Jam – Savoury Apple Mint Jam:

They’ve taken the classic lamb accompaniments of apple, mint and rosemary and tweaked it to perfection with fresh lemon to create the perfect partner to Lamb, roasted, barbecued, slow cooked or cold leftovers. Throw away the old chutneys, artificial mint sauce and coloured jellies, this is the only way to go from now on.
Winemakers Jam – Savoury Onion & Shiraz Jam:
Serve with a scrumptious cheese plate and a nice glass of red
